Psychological Assessment

I am an expert in comprehensive evaluations for individuals suspected of Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or social communication difficulties. These gold standard evaluations consist of cognitive assessment, language assessment, developmental assessment specific to social communication difficulties (e.g., ADOS-2), as well as pre-academic and academic testing. In addition, executive functions, such as attention, are assessed when appropriate. I have extensive experience working with very young children with suspected social communication difficulties, and have worked with families in both research and clinical settings. I have expertise in managing young children in the assessment setting, as well as an intricate understanding of appropriate behavior in various developmental stages.

In addition, while at the NYU Child Study Center, I was the clinical director of the Autism Spectrum Disorders service. In this role, I used my expertise to assess children, teens, and adults throughout the lifespan with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or social difficulties. This involves a parent interview to learn about your child's current behavior as well as his or her behavior at a young age, as well as a comprehensive assessment to ascertain cognitive, social, language, academic, adaptive, and pre-vocational skills sets.

I am happy to talk further with you if you think I might be a good fit for you and your child.
