Psychological Evaluation
I am a clinical psychologist with many years experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety, mood, and social communication difficulties. I trained at both Long Island Jewish/North Shore Hospital and NYU Child Study Center. I have been on faculty at NYU Child Study Center and Weill Cornell Medical College. I specialize in assessments and treatment for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and evidence based treatments for children and teens struggling with anxiety or mood difficulties.
I have extensive experience in cognitive behavioral therapies for individuals with various anxiety and mood disorders. While at NYU, I was part of the anxiety and mood disorders team, meeting weekly with families whose children and teens exhibited selective mutism, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, among others. I also have experience working with individuals through the lifespan with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related social communication difficulties. I have expertise in conducting comprehensive evaluations with individuals with ASD, as well as assisting with treatment for individuals with social communication difficulties. Depending on the indvidiual and his or her age, treatment might involve Early Start Denver Model, principles of behavior analysis, structured teaching, cognitive behavioral interventions, and/or positive behavior supports.
